Cake In A Mug!

Chocolate Cake in a Mug

This is quite possibly the simplest recipe I have ever put up here. It’s amazing. I heard about this through the internet grapevine a long time ago, but I wouldn’t let myself believe that something this awesomely easy could even exist. But here it is folks. The cake in a mug.

The best thing about this is there’s nothing fancy required, you put everything in a mug and you microwave it. No dishes, no processors, no piles of spoons, no nothing. Just one dessert spoon and your favourite mug. Even the ingredients aren’t complicated. Just have a bag of self raising flour and the rest of the stuff you should just have knocking about.

Anyway, I digress, here, for your consideration; The Cake in a Mug.

2 tbs self raising flour

2 tbs castor sugar

2 tbs cocoa

1 egg

1 tbs milk

1 tbs sunflower oil

pinch of salt

Chocolate chips/nuts/raisins etc.

-Mix the flour, sugar, salt and cocoa together well in a large mug. Make sure it is colourful and has at least one cartoon on it. This IS essential and will effect the taste of the cake.

-Now add in the egg, milk, oil and chocolate chips. Give it all a good stir, making sure to get into the edges and corners.

-Pop it in the microwave for 2 minutes on full power. Take it out. Dust with a little icing sugar or top with ice-cream and enjoy. You have (probably) earned it.
